തിരുവുത്സവം 2026 ശ്രീ വൈകുണ്ഠപുരം ക്ഷേത്രം പത്തനംതിട്ട | Thiruvutsavam 2026 Sree Vaikundapuram Temple Pathanamthitta
Thiruvutsavam at Sree Vaikundapuram Temple, Pathanamthitta is one of the most vibrant and spiritually enriching festivals in the region celebrated with immense devotion, traditional rituals and cultural grandeur.
The festival spans multiple days beginning with the ceremonial awakening of the deity, known as Palliyunarthal accompanied by the early morning devotional drum beats and continuous Harinam Keerthanam. This auspicious start sets the tone for the days of religious observances, rituals, and cultural performances that follow.
The mornings feature Ganapati Homam and Usha Pooja ensuring the blessings of Lord Ganesha for the smooth conduct of the festival. Devotees and priests participate in daily recitations of the Bhagavatam and Narayaneeyam fostering spiritual learning and devotion. The sacred ritual of Navakam is observed at the temple’s Sree Bhoothabali Ezhnunallath, accompanied by elaborate offerings and prayers. The Deepaaradhana and evening Deepakazhcha create a divine ambiance, while the melodious tunes of Nadaswaram and rhythmic beats of Tavil fill the air with festive energy.
Cultural elements play a major role in the Thiruvutsavam. Performances include traditional Panchavadyam, Mayooranritham and classical music recitals by local and renowned artists. Devotional and folk dances such as Kaikkottikali and Thiruvathira are performed by dedicated local groups while the Arattu procession symbolizes the ceremonial bath of the deity, a visually spectacular event attended by hundreds of devotees. The festival also features Elanjithara Melam and Pooram highlighting Kerala’s rich percussion and orchestral traditions.
During the festival, devotees make offerings of flowers, elephants and other ceremonial items, while the temple premises are decorated with vibrant floral arrangements and intricate Tidamp designs. Special community feasts are organized allowing devotees to partake in the blessings of the deity. Every aspect of the Thiruvutsavam at Sree Vaikundapuram Temple beautifully blends devotion, art and tradition creating an unforgettable spiritual and cultural experience for all who attend.
