Utsavangalude Utsavam at Thrikkovil Sri Padmanabha Swami Temple is one of the most vibrant and celebrated temple festivals in Kerala, often referred to as the “Festival of Festivals.” Held at the historic and sacred Thrikkovil Sri Padmanabha Swami Temple in Pathanamthitta, this grand festival showcases the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the region.
Devotees from across the state and beyond gather to witness and participate in a wide array of religious rituals, traditional art forms and festive celebrations.
The festival is renowned for its colorful processions, ceremonial worship and the display of devotional art performances. Highlights include the Dashavatara Chart, a unique celebration depicting the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu which attracts devotees eager to seek blessings and witness the artistic presentations. Traditional rituals such as Maha Ekadashi and Maha Vishukkani hold special spiritual significance and are observed with great devotion and grandeur offering participants a chance to engage in deep spiritual reflection.
Cultural programs form an integral part of the festival including performances of Kathakali, Bharatanatyam and other classical dance forms that narrate stories from Hindu mythology.
