Thiru ulsavam is the annual festival celebrated at Sree Vaikundapuram temple. It is celebrated in the Malayalam month of Meenom. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The mythology talks about two
faces of Lord Vishnu. On one face, he is shown as smiling deity blessings his devotees, and his second face is an intimidating one, with him sitting on Kalaswarup Sheshnag.

The festival starts with Kodiyettu ceremony. Palliyunarthal, Prabhathabheri, Ushapooja, Ganapathihomam, Harinamakeerthanam, are the morning rituals. Navakom, Sreebhoothabali are part of the 7 days celebration. On the 8th day Ulsavabali and Samoohasadya is held during the day and Neerchakambam at night. The Pallivetta ritual ceremony is held on the 9th day. Pallivetta Ezhunnallathu and Ethirelpu are the part of Pallivetta ceremony. The
Aratttu procession is held on the 10th day. Arattu Purappadu, Valia Kanikka, Thrippada Seva is the ritual ceremonies of Arattu day. In the evening the famous Kudamattom and Kodiman pooram are held.
