ഉച്ചബലി മഹോത്സവം 2026 മണ്ണടി ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം പത്തനംതിട്ട | Ucchabali Mahotsavam 2026 Mannadi Bhagavathi Temple Pathanamthitta
The Ucchabali Mahotsavam at Mannadi Bhagavathi Temple in Pathanamthitta is one of the most revered and vibrant temple festivals in Kerala attracting devotees from across the state and beyond. The temple, dedicated to the self-manifested Goddess Mannadi Bhagavathi is considered a divine center where devotees’ prayers and offerings are believed to be readily accepted.
The festival is marked by a series of elaborate rituals, including the traditional Ucchabali which is a special mid-day offering performed with strict adherence to ancient customs. The temple premises come alive with the sound of the nadaswaram, thavil and other traditional instruments setting a spiritually charged atmosphere. Devotional recitations including Sahasranama Japa and Bhagavata Parayanam are conducted throughout the day providing devotees with an opportunity for deep spiritual engagement and reflection.
One of the most visually spectacular events of the festival is the Thrimudi procession where the sacred crown of the deity is carried from the temple sanctum through the temple premises accompanied by traditional music and rhythmic percussion performances. This procession not only symbolizes the divine presence moving among the devotees but also reflects the rich cultural heritage of Kerala’s temple traditions.
Evening celebrations feature a blend of devotional music, classical performances and youth talent showcases including fusion presentations combining violin and vocal music. The festival also emphasizes social welfare with initiatives such as medical assistance and community support programs conducted alongside the religious events.
