പത്തനംതിട്ടയിലെ പെരിങ്ങനാട്ടുള്ള തൃച്ചേനമംഗലം മഹാദേവർ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ 10 ദിവസത്തെ വാർഷിക തിരുവുത്സവം ഫെബ്രുവരി-മാർച്ച് (കുംഭം) മാസങ്ങളിൽ മഹത്തായ ആചാരങ്ങളാലും സാംസ്കാരിക ആഘോഷങ്ങളാലും ആഘോഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

Thiru utsavam is celebrated in the Malayalam month of khumbam. Its believed that the in ancient times the sapthrshikal used this Shiva idol for their ritual purpose. This idol was installed by Arjuna, one of the Pandavas.
The festival commences after the ceremonial flag of the temple is hoisted on the birthday of Mahadeva. The birthday feast in the name of the Lord is held on the same day from 2'o clock. The devotees believe that Lord Mahadeva also sits with them in one of the rows and partake of the same feast.After 'Deeparadhana', the sacred flag is hoisted and festival begins.

In the days that follow, there are special Poojas, performance of temple arts and cultural programs held. There is also the birthday feast held in the afternoon. At 4'o clock in the evening, Lord Mahadeva is ceremonially brought in a 'Jeevitha' for immersion in the Arat pond. For this ceremonial emersion, giant sized 'Kettukalas' and 'Kettukuthiras' attractively decorated by 10 'Karrakkars' are brought. The famous Kettulsavam or Kettukazhcha is observed in the evening.
