Meenabharani Mahotsavam at Thazhoor Bhagavathi Temple is one of the most vibrant and spiritually significant annual celebrations dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi. The festival is observed with deep devotion by devotees and the local community who gather at the temple to participate in a series of sacred rituals, traditional ceremonies and cultural programs.

During the Meenabharani Mahotsavam, the temple premises come alive with the sounds of traditional temple instruments, devotional chants and ceremonial offerings. The festival begins in the early hours with special temple rituals and prayers dedicated to the presiding deity, Bhagavathi. Devotees offer prayers seeking blessings for prosperity, health and protection from hardships. Sacred rituals such as Ganapathi Homam, Bhagavatha Parayanam, Kalasha Pooja and other traditional poojas are performed as part of the spiritual observances.
