The Padayani Festival 2025 at Thelliyurkkavu Devi Temple, Pathanamthitta, is a 6-day annual celebration held during December-January (Malayalam month of Dhanu).

Padayani is celebrated to pay obeisance to Goddess Bhadrakali and is a ritualistic art form. Thelliyoor is rich with the presence of Devi Thelliyoor Kavillama. Padayani is celebrated at the shrine to pay obeisance to Thelliyooramma. Special prayers and ritualistic offerings are made at the shrine to please the Goddess and seek her blessings. Adavi is observed on the seventh day with villagers gathering at the Pattambalam for Malayuttu. It is a first step of Adavi by Velan. As part of the ritualistic event, sixty eight coconuts are broken one after the other. This is followed by devotees covering themselves in Chooral, a kind of thorny cane and rolling themselves over it. The blood that oozes from the wounds are believed to be the offering to the Goddess. The festival is an exhibit of the unique ways of worship of Goddess Bhadrakali, the presiding deity of the shrine.
