2026ലെ തൃക്കലഞ്ചൂരിലെ ശ്രീ മഹാദേവര് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ തിരു ഉത്സവം മാര്ച്ച് 19 മുതല് മാര്ച്ച് 26 വരെ ആഘോഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. മാര്ച്ച് 19ന് തൃക്കോടിയേട്ടം, മാര്ച്ച് 24ന് രോഹിണി തിരുനാള്, മാര്ച്ച് 25ന് പള്ളിവേട്ട, മാര്ച്ച് 26ന് ആരാട്ട് എന്നിവയും പാരമ്പര്യ ആചാരങ്ങളും സാംസ്കാരിക ആഘോഷങ്ങളും സമന്വയിപ്പിച്ച് നടക്കുന്നു.

Thiru Utsavam at Thrikkalanjoor Sree Mahadevar Temple is one of the most prominent and revered temple festivals in Pathanamthitta district, celebrated with deep devotion, grandeur and a strong sense of community participation. The festival showcases the rich cultural heritage and religious traditions of Kerala bringing together devotees from nearby villages as well as distant regions.
The Thrikkalanchery Sree Mahadevar Temple, located in Pathanamthitta district is an ancient and historically significant shrine situated approximately 80 km southwest of Sabarimala along the Punalur route. The temple stands as a landmark of traditional Kerala architecture with an impressive eastern gopuram towering 50 feet, a beautifully crafted western gopuram, twin kodimaram and an elephant shed. The main altar mandapam reflects centuries old craftsmanship and the temple’s layout is carefully aligned to preserve its spiritual sanctity and aesthetic appeal.
The temple is administered by the Thrikkalanchery Sree Mahadevar Devaswam Trust which belongs to the Plasthanath Madham family of Kaviur village, one of the 64 historic Namboothiri villages of Kerala. The trust oversees daily administration, monthly rituals and the organization of major festivals. The annual Utsavam is held during the Rohini nakshatra in Meenam with events conducted across the eastern and western sides of the temple symbolizing unity, devotion and community participation.
Thrikkalanchery temple’s history is intertwined with neighboring regions such as Mannadi and Pattazhi. Legendary accounts speak of the divine figure Kampithan from Mannadi who performed sacred rituals at the temple, including climbing the ‘Kudappara’ rocks to demonstrate his divine powers. Rituals such as the Aavani Palaka and Shoolam are preserved even today maintaining the temple’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
