Thiruvutsavam at Enathu Sree Mahadevar Temple in Pathanamthitta is a vibrant and spiritually uplifting festival that showcases the rich heritage of Kerala’s temple traditions. Temple Tantri (Chief Priest) Brahmashree Ramesh Bhanu Bhanu Pandarattil oversees all the sacred rituals ensuring they are performed according to traditional Tantric procedures. The overall administration and management of the festival are handled by Temple Melshanti Sri G. Durgaprasad, who coordinates the arrangements for devotees, cultural programs and community services. Their dedicated leadership ensures that the festival is conducted with devotion, precision and smooth organization.
The Thiruvutsavam is marked by elaborate rituals including daily poojas, abhishekams and homams that reflect the deep spiritual significance of the occasion.
One of the main highlights of the festival is the grand Aarattu procession, where the deity’s idol is ceremoniously taken to a holy water body for a ritual bath accompanied by traditional temple percussion ensembles like chenda melam, nadaswaram and other classical instruments.
