ഇടനാട്ടുകാവ് ദേവീക്ഷേത്രം, കുറിയന്നൂർ, പത്തനംതിട്ടയിലെ തിരുവുത്സവം 2026 മാർച്ച് 10 മുതൽ മാർച്ച് 25 വരെ നടക്കും. ഇതോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് ശ്രീമദ് ദേവീഭാഗവത നവാഹയജ്ഞം (മാർച്ച് 10–19), പറയെടുപ്പ് മഹോത്സവം (മാർച്ച് 20–22), ഭരണി, കാർത്തിക, രോഹിണി നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളിൽ പടയണി മഹോത്സവം (മാർച്ച് 22–24) എന്നിവ നടക്കുകയും മകയിരം മഹോത്സവത്തോടെ (മാർച്ച് 25) സമാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

Thiruvutsavam at the Edanattu Kavu Devi Temple is one of the most vibrant and spiritually significant annual celebrations dedicated to Goddess Devi. The temple, located in the culturally rich region of Kuriyannoor near Thiruvalla in Pathanamthitta becomes a center of devotion, traditional rituals and community participation during the festival period.
Devotees from nearby villages and different parts of Kerala gather at the temple to seek the blessings of the presiding deity and to participate in the sacred ceremonies associated with the festival.
A major spiritual highlight of the celebration is the Sreemad Devi Bhagavatha Navaha Yajnam, an important ritual dedicated to the divine mother. During this sacred yajnam, learned priests and scholars recite the revered Devi Bhagavatham while performing elaborate poojas and homams. The yajnam symbolizes devotion, spiritual purification and the celebration of the divine feminine energy. Devotees attend these rituals with deep faith believing that participation in the prayers and listening to the sacred recitations bring prosperity, peace and protection.
Another prominent attraction of the festival is the traditional Padayani Mahotsavam, a spectacular ritual art form deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of central Kerala. Padayani is known for its vibrant costumes, large colorful masks, rhythmic drum beats and ceremonial performances offered to please the goddess. The performances conducted on specific star days create a powerful spiritual atmosphere within the temple premises and draw large crowds of devotees and cultural enthusiasts.
The Parayeduppu Mahotsavam is another important ritual associated with the festival. During this ceremony, the deity is symbolically taken through the surrounding areas with traditional musical instruments and offerings are collected from devotees. The ritual reflects the strong bond between the temple and the local community, emphasizing devotion, gratitude and collective participation in the worship of the goddess.
The celebrations conclude with the Makayiram Mahotsavam, marking the grand culmination of the festival. On this auspicious day, special poojas, offerings and devotional activities are conducted and devotees gather in large numbers to witness the concluding rituals and receive the blessings of the goddess.
