Thiru Arattu Mahotsavam is a grand 10-day annual festival celebrated at Kulathoor Maha Devi Temple, Kulathoormoozhi, Pathanamthitta, during the Malayalam month of Meenam (March-April), featuring traditional rituals, processions, and cultural performances.

This temple located in Kulathoor Kara in Pathanamthitta and is a famous Devi Temple. Goddess Durga is the main deity of the temple. Thiru Arattu Mahotsavam Kulathoor Maha Devi Temple  Kulathoormoozhi Pathanamthitta Kerala The temple is directed towards south and Devi is worshiped as 'Amma' Special poojas are organized during the time of festival. Ammakavil Vilakku is an important ritual here. It is believed that Devi comes to see her mother. On the last day of festival, Devi will reach Mullathara (the place where Amma came and first seated herself) accompanied by traditional musical performances. After the Deeparadhana they will set off for Arattu. After the Arattu along with the procession, Devi will return to the temple. Mullathara is an important identity of this temple.

The ten day festival starts in the month of Meenam. It begins on Karthika asterism and the Arattu is celebrated on thram. It is celebrated as the birthday of Devi. The festival includes various programs and ends with Arattu on the last day. Special poojas are arranged during the festival. Ammakavil Vilakku is held on the 6th day and pallivetta is held on 9th day of festival. The festival starts with Kodiyettu ceremony. Cultural programmes are organized in the night. Utsavabali Darshanam and Mahaprasadamoottu are the main rituals on the 8th day. The 9th day witnesses the Aarattu ritual and the festival draws to a close with the Kodiyirakku.
