This temple features two Sreekovils (Sanctum Sanctorum), both of which are round (Vatta) in shape. The deity enshrined in the first Sreekovil is known as Vadakkumnatha. Mural paintings depicting various scenes from the Mahabharata can be seen inside the temple. The shrines and the Kuttambalam display vignettes carved in wood.
