This serene and spiritually significant temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Kailasanatha, accompanied by Goddess Parvati as Umadevi.

The Temple has a number of festivals. The important ones are :
Azhi Pooja
Azhi Pooja at the temple is observed during the Mandala season in the Malayalam month of Vrischikam (November-December). It is a special ritual where a symbolic fire pit (Azhi) is prepared, and offerings are made to appease the divine and purify the surroundings. This pooja is believed to remove negative energies and bless devotees with spiritual strength and prosperity. It is performed with devotional chants, lighting of lamps, and traditional offerings, drawing numerous devotees during the Mandala period.
Shivaratri
Shivaratri is observed here with great devotion and spiritual fervor. The celebrations include Koovala Maala Samarpanam, Rudrabhishekam, special poojas, Deeparadhana, and night-long bhajans and rituals dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees fast, stay awake all night, and offer prayers to seek blessings for prosperity, good health, and spiritual upliftment.
