Aaluvamkudi Sree Mahadeva Temple Pathanamthitta

Aluvamkudi Sree Mahadeva Temple is an ancient Hindu temple nestled in the mountainous forests of Pathanamthitta district, Kerala.

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is believed to have been established by Sage Parashurama, and a Devaprashnam revealed that Lord Rama once performed poojas here.

Shivaratri

Special poojas and festivals are conducted annually on Shivaratri day at Aluvamkudi Sree Mahadeva Temple in the Malayalam month of Kumbham. Devotees trek through the forest to offer prayers, perform abhishekam, and participate in night-long worship to honor Lord Shiva on this sacred occasion.

Vishu

Vishu is celebrated in the Malayalam month of Medam with great devotion. The day begins with the viewing of the Vishukkani, an auspicious arrangement symbolizing prosperity, and women devotees also offer Pongala to seek blessings from Lord Shiva.
