പുത്തരി – ആദ്യ വിളവിന്റെ വഴിപാട് | പാലക്കാട് തിരുവാലത്തൂർ ശ്രീ രണ്ടുമൂർത്തി ക്ഷേത്രം
This ritual highlights the deep spiritual connection between agriculture, nature, and divinity in Kerala’s temple traditions.
The Thriputhari rice, specially prepared from the freshly harvested grain, is cooked with devotion and offered along with honey rolls to the deity. These offerings symbolize prosperity, abundance, and the divine blessings that sustain life. After the ceremonial offering, the sacred Puthari rice and honey are distributed among the devotees as prasadam, believed to carry the blessings of the Goddess. This act of sharing reinforces the temple’s role as a spiritual and cultural center for the community. Puthari not only marks the beginning of the harvest season but also reflects the temple’s rich agrarian heritage and age-old traditions.
