Ratholsavam

The Perinkulam Ratholsavam, a vibrant carnival, unfolds annually in Perinkulam, approximately 3 km from Alathur in Palakkad District. This lively festival is closely linked with four temples honoring Lord Shiva, Krishna, Varadaraja, and Goddess Lakshmi, held during the auspicious period of Masi Magam. The highlight of the event occurs during the final two days, marked by the grand procession of three intricately adorned chariots, which are ceremoniously drawn around the temple precincts, captivating attendees with their splendor and spiritual fervor.

Mahashivaratri

Mahashivaratri, the grand festival dedicated to Lord Shiva, is celebrated with immense devotion and fervor across the country. Temples are adorned with lights and decorations, and devotees throng to witness the divine aura, chanting hymns and mantras in reverence to Lord Shiva.
