The annual Naga Punah Prathista Varshikam and Naga Pooja held at Sree Gurumuthappan Bhagavathy Temple in Vazhakkad, Malappuram district is a spiritually significant observance rooted deeply in Kerala’s traditional serpent worship practices. This sacred occasion commemorates the re-consecration of the Naga deities and is dedicated to invoking their blessings for health, prosperity, lineage well being and protection from negative influences.

At this temple, the festival is conducted with strict adherence to age old tantric and Vedic rituals preserving the sanctity and spiritual discipline passed down through generations.
