Kootticha Procession
The temple trustee, known as Valluvakonathiri, represents the royal lineage of the Valluvanad kingdom. Upon the demise of the reigning monarch, the elder successor, known as Vellalpad, assumes leadership. In a grand ceremony known as Kootticha Procession, the newly appointed head of the family visits the temple, seeking blessings from the Devi amidst elaborate rituals, accompanied by royal regalia and pomp.
