Vela Maholsavam
The Vela Maholsavam is an annual festival held at the Parakkunathu Devi Temple, dedicated to the goddess Bhadrakali. It is one of the major festivals observed at the temple and attracts a large number of devotees from various parts of Kerala and beyond
Pongala
During the Pongala festival, devotees offer a special dish called "Pongala" to the goddess. Pongala is a sweet rice dish cooked in earthen pots over fire. It is believed that offering Pongala to Goddess Bhadrakali during this festival brings blessings and fulfills the wishes of the devotees.
