The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Narasimha, the fourth avatar of Lord Vishnu, depicted with the head of a lion and the body of a man. Lord Narasimha is known for his fierce form taken to protect his devotee Prahlada and to destroy the demon Hiranyakashipu, symbolizing the victory of good over evil.
Devotees worship Lord Narasimha for protection, courage, and relief from fears and adversities.
