കോഴിക്കോട് പറച്ചാളപറമ്പിൽ ശ്രീ പറക്കുട്ടി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ താലപ്പൊലി മഹോത്സവം 2026 മാർച്ച് 27, 28 തീയതികളിൽ ഗണപതിഹോമം, വെള്ളാട്ട്, തിര, നാഗകാളി, കലശം എഴുന്നള്ളത്ത്, ഗുരുതി പൂജ എന്നിവയോടെ ഭക്തിപൂർവ്വം നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.

Thalappoli Mahotsavam at Parachalparambil Sree Parakkutti Temple is one of the most vibrant and spiritually uplifting annual celebrations in the Kozhikode region.
The festival reflects the rich ritual traditions of North Kerala, blending devotion, folklore, temple arts and community participation into a grand spiritual experience.
The highlight of the festival is the sacred Thalappoli where women and young girls dressed in traditional attire carry decorated plates filled with lamps and flowers as an offering to the deity. This ritual symbolizes purity, prosperity and divine blessings. The temple premises transform into a divine space filled with oil lamps, floral decorations, rhythmic drumbeats and devotional chants that create a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
Traditional ritual performances such as Vellattu, Thira and Nagakali form an essential part of the celebrations. These ritualistic art forms deeply rooted in Kerala’s temple culture are performed to invoke and please the presiding deities. The vibrant costumes, expressive movements and powerful percussion instruments like chenda enhance the sacred ambiance of the temple grounds. The Kalasham Ezhunnallathu procession accompanied by traditional music adds grandeur and devotion to the festivities.
Special poojas including Ganapathi Homam, Guruthi Pooja, Pushpanjali and various vazhipadukal are conducted with great reverence. Devotees gather in large numbers to seek blessings for prosperity, protection and well being. The temple also organizes prasada oottu strengthening the spirit of unity and devotion among the community.
