കാടുങ്ങോഞ്ചിറ മഹാഗണപതി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ മഹോത്സവം 2025 ഡിസംബർ - ജനുവരി (മകരം) മാസങ്ങളിൽ ഏഴുദിവസം നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുന്ന ഉത്സവമാണ്.

It is one of the oldest temples in Calicut town with more than 3000 year old history. Lord Ganesha is the
presiding deity. Bhagavathy, kuttichathan, nagar, paradevatha and gulikan are the sub deities. Annual festival of this temple falls in the Malayalam month of Makaram. Annual festival is conducted in order to
increase the vigour of the deity

The festival of this temple is a 7 days event. There is a flag hosting ceremony marking the beginning of the festival.Numerous number of cultural programs are associated with the festival such as musical concerts, classical dance, drama, bale, kadhaprasangam and so on.
Caparisoned elephants, melam, percussion music and sheeveli are part of this festival. A unique ritual called Kanalattam is performed here during the time of festival. During the kanalattam ritual, the devotees can be seen walking through the live coals. After that, lowering of flag marks the end of the festival.
