The day begins with deeparadhana, followed by Bhagavathi seva. Sarppabali, Ganapathi homam, and Kalam pooja are also performed. The event concludes with Thalapoli, a ceremonial procession where women carry lamps and sing hymns, symbolizing prosperity and grace.
Pantheerayiram Thengayeru
Pantheerayiram Thengayeru, the ceremonial breaking of 12,000 coconuts in rhythmic motion, is a distinctive ritual performed during the Vettekkaran Pattu festival. This tradition is deeply rooted in the cultural and religious practices of Kerala, particularly in temples dedicated to Vettekkaran.
