Vayalot Vairighatakan Temple Kozhikode

The Vayalot Vairighatakan Bhagavathy Temple in Chorode, Kozhikode, is an ancient temple in North Malabar believed to be around a thousand years old.

It is dedicated to Vairighataka Bhagavati, a form of Shiva Parvati, and Shakteya Bhagavati, the family deity. The temple also venerates Kuttichathan, Asuraputra, and Gulikan deities, reflecting diverse local beliefs.

Devotees participate in lighting lamps and offering prayers to seek blessings for prosperity, protection, and spiritual well-being.
