Ayyappan Vilakku
Ayyappan Vilakku at Sree Manikanda Madam is a significant event dedicated to Lord Ayyappa. The celebration begins with Ganapathi Homam, a ritual to invoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha, followed by Deeparadhana, the ceremonial lighting of lamps. The event also features a Ghoshayatra, a grand procession with devotees carrying lighted lamps, and concludes with Guruthi, a ritualistic offering to appease the deity. This event fosters a deep sense of devotion and community among the participants.
Vishu
Vishu is celebrated with great fervor and devotion. The festivities include the Vishukkani, an auspicious arrangement of items such as rice, fruits, vegetables, and coins, which devotees view first thing in the morning for prosperity. Special poojas and offerings are conducted, along with cultural programs, to mark the beginning of the new year and seek blessings from Lord Ayyappa for a prosperous future.
