Annual Festival

The annual festival at Sree Kuniyadi Temple celebrated during the month of Kumbham, is a vibrant and spiritually enriching event. Key rituals include Ganapathi Homam for auspicious beginnings, Thrikala Pooja conducted three times a day, and Kalavara Nirakkal, a ritual of filling the granary. The festival also features Sarppabali to honor serpent deities, Bhagavathi Seva for Goddess Parvathy, the Thalapoli procession, and Kalam Pooja, creating a profound atmosphere of devotion and community participation.

Sarppabali

Sarppabali at Sree Kuniyadi Temple is a significant ritual dedicated to the worship of Lord Nagaraja and Naga Devatas. This ritual is performed to ward off the ill effects of Sarpa Dosha and Sarpa Sapa. During Sarppabali, offerings of milk, turmeric, flowers, and other sacred items are made to the Naga idols, and special poojas are conducted to appease the serpent deities. Devotees participate in the ceremony with deep reverence, seeking protection, prosperity, and relief from serpentine afflictions.
