Guruthi
During the Makaram month at Raran Kelachan Kavu Sridevi Temple, the Guruthi ritual is performed with great devotion and meticulous detail. This includes Ganapathi Homam for obstacle removal, Kalasham for ritualistic cleansing, and Koottupongala where women gather to cook pongala as a community offering. The rituals culminate in the Guruthi ceremony accompanied by Thalapoli Ezhunnallath procession, adding to the spiritual fervor of the festival.
Prathishta Dinam
The annual Pratishta festival at Raran Kelachan Kavu Sridevi Temple, held in the Malayalam month of Medam (April-May), is a significant and vibrant event. This festival marks the consecration anniversary of the temple deities, Goddess Sridevi and Kirathamoorthy. The celebrations include various rituals such as special poojas, homams, and cultural programs.
