Penengal Bhagavathi Temple Kozhikode

Thira Maholsavam

Thira Maholsavam held at this temple during the month of Kumbham is a vibrant celebration that includes various rituals and festivities. One of the key highlights of the event is the Thalapoli ceremony, where women and children participate after observing a vow for seven days and three days, respectively. This ceremony, marked by the offering of lamps and traditional rituals, adds to the spiritual fervor and cultural richness of the festival, attracting devotees from far and wide to partake in the divine celebrations.

Prathishta Vaarshikam

Prathishta Vaarshikam, typically observed in the month of March, commemorates the anniversary of the consecration of a deity in a Hindu temple. During this auspicious occasion, devotees gather to offer prayers, conduct special rituals, and seek blessings from the deity. The celebration often includes elaborate poojas, recitation of holy scriptures, and distribution of prasad among devotees, marking a significant milestone in the temple's spiritual journey.
