The Temple has a number of festivals. The important ones are :
Pradosham
. Pradosha occurs twice in a lunar month, specifically during the waxing and waning phases of the moon, usually on the 13th day of each phase. It is believed to be an auspicious time when Lord Shiva performs his divine dance, the Tandava, and bestows blessings upon his devotees. During Pradosha, devotees observe fasting, visit Shiva temples, and perform special rituals to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva for spiritual upliftment and fulfillment of desires.
Mahashivaratri
Mahashivaratri, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is one of the most significant festivals celebrated at the Nittoor Shiva Temple. It falls on the 14th day of the Hindu month of Phalguna (February or March).
