Nagapooja
On the day of Naga Panchami at Nalupuraikkal Sri Nagakali Bhagavathi Temple, snakes are worshipped with offerings of milk, sweets, flowers, lamps, and even sacrifices. Naga or serpent deities made of silver, stone, wood, or depicted in paintings are first bathed with water and milk and then worshipped with the recitation of specific mantras.
