The Mandala Makaravilakku Maholsavam at Kollangottu Sree Ayyappa Temple is a grand festival celebrated with various rituals. Kettunira, the ritual of packing the irumudi, and the daily Karpoorazhi add to the spiritual ambiance, drawing numerous devotees to participate and seek blessings from Lord Ayyappa.
Sarpabali
Every year, Sarpabali is conducted at Kollangottu Sree Ayyappa Temple by the Kshethram Thanthri on Ayilyam day in the month of Kumbham. This ritual is performed to appease the serpent deities and to avoid Sarppa Dosha. Devotees participate in this ceremony to seek protection and blessings from the serpent gods.
