The temple's main Pratishtha is Lord Ayyappa, but it also features Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesh, Lord Vishnu, and Goddess Annapurneshwari among the deities worshipped.

Known as the second Sabarimala, the temple attracts numerous devotees, especially during the Sabarimala season, when regular bhajans and devotional songs are held.

The Temple has a number of festivals. The important ones are :
Mandala Kaalam
During the Mandala Kaalam at Chennamangalam Ayyappa Temple the temple becomes a hub of devotional activities. Regular bhajans are held, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere for devotees. The temple also conducts Vilakku Deeparadhana, a grand lamp-lighting ceremony, enhancing the divine ambiance and allowing worshippers to offer their prayers and seek blessings from Lord Ayyappa and other deities.
Shivaratri
Shivaratri, the auspicious night dedicated to Lord Shiva, is celebrated with fervor at Chennamangalam Ayyappa Temple in Chorode, Vatakara, Kozhikode. Devotees observe fasting and participate in special rituals throughout the night, including Abhishekam and chanting of sacred mantras. The temple is adorned with lamps and flowers, creating a reverent atmosphere conducive to deep meditation and prayers to seek the blessings and divine grace of Lord Shiva.
