Popularly known as “Malayala Dwaraka”, the sacred Poothakuzhy Sree Krishna Swami Temple located at Chenappady, Pazhayidam P.O., is a renowned center of devotion dedicated to Lord Sree Krishna.

Steeped in spiritual heritage and age-old traditions, the temple serves as a beacon of bhakti, culture, and dharmic values for devotees across Kerala and beyond. The temple is pleased to announce the 12th Srimad Bhagavatha Sapthaha Yajnam, to be conducted with great devotion and traditional observances from 11 January to 20 January 2026 (1201 Dhanu 27 to Makaram 6). This ten-day sacred spiritual event is organized to invoke the divine grace of Lord Krishna and to spread the eternal teachings of the Srimad Bhagavatham, one of the most revered scriptures of Sanatana Dharma.

Srimad Bhagavatha Sapthaham is a deeply purifying spiritual observance centered on the seven-day continuous recitation and exposition of the Bhagavatham. Through its divine narratives, the Bhagavatham emphasizes devotion (Bhakti), righteousness (Dharma), compassion, humility, and surrender to the Supreme Lord. Daily Rituals and Observances
Each day of the Sapthaham begins with traditional temple rituals, including Nirmalya Darshanam, special poojas, and abhishekams. The day progresses with Bhagavatha Parayanam, Harinamakeerthanam, bhajans, and spiritual discourses, creating a continuous flow of devotion throughout the temple premises. Devotees are encouraged to participate wholeheartedly, listen to the sacred discourses, and receive divine blessings.

Special Events
Pal Pongala will be observed on Monday, 19 January 2026 (1201 Makaram 5), where devotees offer Pongala with deep devotion, seeking the blessings of Lord Krishna for prosperity, health, and family well-being. The Thiruvutsavam will be celebrated on Tuesday, 20 January 2026 (1201 Makaram 6), marking the grand conclusion of the Sapthaha Yajnam. The day will feature special poojas, ceremonial rituals, and festive observances, symbolizing the successful completion of the sacred yajnam.
