Narasimha Jayanti Mahotsavam & Dashavatara Darshan at Thrickodithanam Maha Temple, Kottayam is a spiritually significant annual celebration dedicated to Lord Vishnu and his ten divine incarnations. The festival is observed with great devotion and traditional grandeur attracting devotees from different parts of Kerala and beyond. The temple becomes a vibrant center of spiritual energy, rituals and cultural expressions during this sacred period.
The highlight of the festival is the Narasimha Jayanti celebrations where special poojas, homams and devotional offerings are conducted to honor Lord Narasimha, the fierce and protective incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Devotees believe that participating in these rituals brings protection from negativity, removal of obstacles and fulfillment of sincere wishes. The atmosphere during this time is filled with chanting of Vedic hymns, Vishnu Sahasranama and other sacred recitations.
Alongside this, the Dashavatara Darshan presents a unique spiritual experience where devotees are blessed with the symbolic darshan of the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu. Each avatar is associated with divine messages and spiritual significance, guiding devotees toward righteousness, balance and devotion.
