മലയാള മാസമായ മീനത്തിൽ (മാർച്ച്-ഏപ്രിൽ) കോട്ടയം മണർകാടുള്ള ശ്രീഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ പരമ്പരാഗത ആചാരാനുഷ്ഠാനങ്ങളും ചടുലമായ ആഘോഷങ്ങളും ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്ന വാർഷിക ഏകദിന ഉത്സവമാണ് മീനഭരണി മഹോത്സവം.

Meenabharani Mahotsavom is the celebration of Devi's birthday. It is celebrated in the Meenom month. It is believed that devi told a brahmin in his dream that when he wakes up, he will find a Kuda which he is to take home. But he took a break in his journey and placed the kuda down. Its is in this place the bagavathy temple is built.
During Meenabharani festival special poojas are performed.
Burning of earthern pots (Kalam Karikkal) and Bharani feast
are conducted during these days.

During night Thookkam and
Garudan Thookkam are played. Eleven Garudas stand in a
separate cells of a single cart made of wood, Devotees pull
the cart to the shrine and submit the offering for devi. Kalam
karikka/ is done by ladies for Mangalya bhagyam, Dheergha
Sumangaly and family's Prosperity.
