Meena Bharani festival in March-April is the main festival of Morkulangara Bhagavathi Temple. It is celebrated on the Bharani star in the month of Meenam (March 15- April14).
Devotees throngs to the temple for the three day festival It is believed that the Devi came to this place after killing the demon Darikasura. The main deity is Bhagavathy, the idol is more than 6 feet in height.

The Meena Bharani Festival of Morkulangara Bhagavathi is spread over three days. The festivities begin with the hoisting of the temple flag. The processional image of Devi is taken out in procession for darshan. The festival ends with the ceremony of Aarattu, the holy bath of the deity. Many Cultural programs and stage shows like classical Music And dance, Drama, are conducted. Ponkala is another ritual ceremony of the festival. Many women devotees participate in this ceremony.
