അശ്വതി മഹോത്സവം 2026 കരിക്കകര തുരുത്തിപ്പള്ളി ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ, കോട്ടയം, 2026 മാർച്ച് 21ന് നടക്കും, അതിന് പിന്നാലെ തിരു ഉത്സവം 2026 മാർച്ച് 22 മുതൽ 29 വരെയാണ്, ശുദ്ധമായ ആചാരങ്ങൾ, പരമ്പരാഗത മേളം, കലാപരിപാടികൾ എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടെ ആഘോഷിക്കപ്പെടും.

The Aswathi Mahotsavam and Thiru Utsavam at Mattakkara Thuruthippally Bhagavathi Temple in Kottayam is one of the most celebrated temple festivals in the region drawing devotees from across Kerala to participate in its vibrant spiritual and cultural traditions.
The festival begins with the Aswathi Mahotsavam, marked by the ceremonial Palliyunarthal followed by Nirmalyadarshanam and Abhishekam creating a sacred atmosphere for devotees. Traditional rituals like Ganapathi Homam and Ushapooja are performed to invoke blessings and special offerings and Ashtadravya Ganapathi Homam are conducted as part of the devotional observances.
Throughout the festival, elaborate melams and musical performances enrich the experience. The festival features Panchavadyam, Chenda Melam, Naadhaswaram recitals and elaborate orchestral ensembles performed by distinguished local artists creating a grand and resonant atmosphere in the temple premises. Devotional singing including Lalitha Sahasranamam and Purana Parayanam accompanies the rituals enhancing the spiritual energy of the festival.
The cultural programs including Bharatanatyam, Kaikottikali, Veeranatyam and Kathakali performances showcase Kerala’s rich artistic heritage and involve local artists, students and community groups making it a vibrant confluence of faith and art.
The festival also emphasizes community participation and charitable offerings.
