Narasimha Jayanthi Agosham 2026 at Kozha Sree Narasimha Swami Temple, Kottayam, Kerala is a grand and spiritually significant temple festival celebrated with deep devotion and traditional grandeur. This annual festival is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, the powerful fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who embodies protection, courage and divine justice.
At the Kozha Sree Narasimha Swami Temple, the festival transforms the entire temple atmosphere into a divine spiritual space filled with Vedic chants, devotional rituals, and cultural harmony. The celebrations include sacred rituals such as Dashavatara Chandanam where Lord Narasimha is worshipped through the representation of the ten divine avatars of Lord Vishnu. Devotees also take part in Lakshmi Narasimha Pooja, seeking blessings for prosperity, protection and spiritual growth.
A key highlight of the festival is the continuous Murajapam and Narayaneeyam recitation which fills the temple surroundings with powerful spiritual vibrations. Special poojas, homams, and offerings are performed by traditional priests following strict Vedic traditions. The Annadanam is another major attraction where thousands of devotees are served prasadam as a divine offering.
The festival is also enriched with vibrant cultural programs including classical music concerts, devotional performances, traditional dance forms like Thiruvathira and Kaikottikali, and other Kerala art forms.
