Mahavishnu is the prominent deity in this temple, known as the preserver and protector of the universe. He is one of the principal forms of God in Hindu theology, forming the Trimurti alongside Brahma and Shiva.
Mahavishnu is often depicted with blue skin, holding four attributes: the conch (shankha), the discus (chakra), the mace (gada), and the lotus flower (padma). He is typically shown reclining on the serpent Shesha in the cosmic ocean.

Noorumpaalumoott
Serpent worship is deeply ingrained in Kerala's culture and folklore, with snakes being revered as divine beings and protectors of the land. Offering turmeric (Nooru) and milk (Palum) to the serpent deity, Anantha, to seek protection from snake-related afflictions and to appease the serpent gods for blessings and prosperity.
