Festivals
The Temple has a number of festivals. The important ones are :
Mandala Pooja and Makaravilakku
Mandala Pooja is an annual festival observed in Ayyappa temples, typically spanning 41 days, starting in mid-November and concluding in late December or early January. The festival culminates with the Makaravilakku festival, which falls on January 14th each year. During Mandala Pooja, devotees observe strict vows and undertake a pilgrimage to Sabarimala Temple.
Mahashivaratri
Mahashivaratri holds immense spiritual significance for devotees of Lord Shiva. It is believed to be a night of great spiritual significance when devotees can easily connect with the divine energy of Lord Shiva. It is also believed that observing fasts, performing rituals, and staying awake through the night during Mahashivaratri can lead to spiritual upliftment, liberation from past sins, and attainment of blessings from Lord Shiva.
