Ayilyam Pooja

Ayilyam Pooja at Ujjaini Mahakali Amman Kovil is observed during the Malayalam month of Thulam, on the auspicious Ayilyam nakshatra day. This special pooja involves offerings to serpent deities—such as milk, turmeric, flowers, and oil lamps—performed in front of a snake-engraved kalam to seek protection, healing, and harmony in the family.

Maha Mrityunjaya Homam

Maha Mrityunjaya Homam is performed at Morkulangara Devi Temple as a powerful ritual for health, protection, and long life. Devotees participate in this sacred fire offering to seek blessings from Lord Shiva for relief from illness and to overcome fear of death.
