Navaratri Maholsavam

Meena Bharani Maholsavam
Meena Bharani Maholsavam at Mahakali Para Devi Temple in Thampalakadu is a vibrant celebration held on the Bharani Nakshatra day of the Malayalam month of Meenam. The festival features the offering of pongala, where devotees cook sweet rice offerings in earthen pots as an expression of gratitude and devotion. Other highlights include the Kavadi and Kumbhkudam Ghoshayatra, a colorful procession carrying ornate pots and ceremonial structures, alongside the Abhishekam—a sacred ritual bath for the deity, performed with elaborate fanfare and spiritual fervor.
