Vishu
During Vishu, Kavinpuram Uma Maheswara Temple celebrates with the traditional ritual of Vishukkani, arranging an auspicious sight—including rice, fruits, flowers, coins, and a mirror—to be the first thing devotees see at dawn, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune, this is followed by Kaineettam.
Thiru Ulsavam
Thiru Ulsavam at Kavinpuram Uma Maheswara Temple is celebrated in the Malayalam month of Dhanu with great devotion and traditional rituals. Highlights of the festival include the vibrant Thalapoli procession by women carrying lamps, the festive Ghoshayatra with music and decorations, and the energetic performance of Thiruvathira Kali, a traditional group dance performed in honor of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
