Annual Festival
The annual 8-day festival held in Makaram (January) at Sreekrishna Swami Temple, Bharananganam, is a vibrant celebration commencing with the hoisting of the temple flag on Makara Sankranthi day. The festivities culminate with Arattu, the ritual bath of the deity, on the 8th day, marking the conclusion of the joyous event. This festival is cherished by devotees and is known for its fervor and spiritual significance throughout the region.
