Narasimha Jayanti Agosham, Meda Mahotsavam, and Pongala at Sri Narasimha Murthy Temple, Umayanallur, Kollam, is a highly revered annual festival that brings together devotion, tradition, and cultural richness in a deeply spiritual atmosphere. The temple, dedicated to Lord Narasimha, the fierce and protective incarnation of Lord Vishnu, becomes a vibrant center of worship during this auspicious occasion attracting devotees from various parts of Kerala and beyond.
The festival is marked by elaborate rituals and special poojas performed with great devotion and precision, reflecting the ancient Vedic traditions followed in the temple. Daily offerings such as Ganapathi Homam, Abhishekam, Bhagavatha Parayanam and Deeparadhana create a divine ambience that fills the temple surroundings with spiritual energy.
