Ulsavam at a temple dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali typically includes several days of elaborate rituals, processions, cultural performances, and religious gatherings.The festival usually begins with the hoisting of the temple flag, marking the commencement of the celebrations. This is known as Kodiyettam and signifies the start of the auspicious period.The festival concludes with the lowering of the temple flag, known as Kodiyirakkam, marking the end of the festivities.
