The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy, worshipped in her protective and powerful form, revered by local devotees for granting strength, wellbeing, and relief from distress. The shrine follows traditional Kerala temple architecture a tiled roof and a sanctum sanctorum. Daily worship includes rituals like abhishekam (sacred bathing of the idol), pushpanjali (flower offerings), and deepa aradhana (lamp offerings), conducted by village priests. Festivals
The Temple has a number of festivals. The important ones are :
Meenam Makam Mahotsavam
Held annually in Meenam (March–April) on the Makam star, this festival features colourful processions, special pujas, cultural programs, and community rituals honoring Bhagavathy with grandeur.
Devi Bhagavata Navaha Yajnyam
A spiritually charged nine day event during which the Devi Bhagavata Purana is chanted continuously. Devotees gather to listen to sacred readings and gain spiritual insight and blessings from the Devi.
