Ulsavam
The Ulsavam celebrated at the Maruthadi Sree Devi Temple in Sakthikulangara, Kollam, during the Malayalam month of Kumbham, is a grand festival marked by various sacred rituals and festivities. Pongala

During this ritual, devotees gather to prepare a special offering called "pongala" in earthen pots. The offering typically consists of rice, jaggery, coconut, and other ingredients cooked together, symbolizing devotion and gratitude to the goddess. Devotees cook the pongala on open fires within the temple premises, and once it is ready, it is offered to the deity.
