Ayilyam Puja

This puja is performed on the day of Ayilyam star (nakshatra) in various Hindu months, with elaborate ceremonies and festivities. The main offering made during this puja is the Noorum Palum, a special mixture typically consisting of rice flour, turmeric, and other ingredients. Devotees believe that by participating in the Ayilyam Puja and offering Noorum Palum to the serpent deities, particularly Naga Lekshmi Devi, they can seek blessings for solving financial problems and attaining wealth and prosperity.
Malumel Pongala
