The annual Malakuda festival in the temple is held in Meena Masam.The sankalpam of Bhagavathy in the temple is that of Goddess Bhadrakali. This is a small temple with a chathura sreekovil. There are separate small shrines of upa devatas.

The annual festival is famous for rare Kali temple pujas and rituals. The shrine is beautifully decorated for the annual event.The shrine also observes Pongala, Navratri and Thrikarthika festival.
